Trust & Safety
Clear standards, honestly enforced.
Sahiri is built for people who have been let down by places that promised safety and did not deliver. This page says exactly what we expect of members, what we actually do about it, and what we cannot do.
What Sahiri is
Self-guided tools, not a clinic
Sahiri provides self-guided tools for reflection, communication, and personal growth, plus a values-gated community. It is not therapy, crisis care, a diagnostic service, or a replacement for licensed mental-health treatment. Sahi, our AI companion, offers general information and guided reflection; it is not a therapist, does not diagnose, and cannot provide emergency support. Licensed practitioners you may meet through Sahiri work under their own license and their own legal obligations.
Community standards
What we do not tolerate
- Harassment, bullying, or threats of any kind
- Hate speech, or disparaging content aimed at any gender, race, religion, ethnicity, sexuality, age group, disability group, or other protected or vulnerable community
- Exploitation or coercion, including pressuring anyone for money, favours, or contact
- Sexual exploitation, unwanted sexual content, or trading photos
- Content meant to shame, demean, radicalize, or harm people
- Impersonating staff, therapists, or other members
- Sharing someone else's private information without consent
These standards apply everywhere on Sahiri: community rooms, Safe Connect, direct messages, profiles, and shared content. Breaking them can mean a warning, losing the ability to post, or losing the account. The full text every member accepts is at /values.
How it works
What moderation actually does
A values gate, not a terms checkbox
Every member reads and accepts eight community values before their account exists. You can re-read them any time from Profile → Community values, and they are public at /values.
Automated checks on room messages
Messages posted in community rooms and Safe Connect are screened by AI moderation for hate, threats, and harassment before they appear. Repeated violations lock posting. Journals, mood entries, reflections, and your conversations with Sahi are not screened this way.
Anonymous by choice
Anonymous mode gives you a random alias everywhere. Blocking hides a person from you across the platform.
A fast way out
The panic button sends you to a neutral website you choose, for people who may be watched while they use Sahiri.
What we do not do: nobody watches rooms in real time, and Sahiri cannot see or respond to emergencies. Automated moderation is not perfect. If something gets through, report it and a person will look.
Reporting
How to report a concern
- In Safe Connect: open the person's profile and use Report. Reports are tied to the account, and repeated reports flag it for review automatically.
- Anywhere else: use the contact form with the subject “Safety concern”. Include the room or person and roughly when it happened.
- To protect yourself right now: block the person, switch on Anonymous mode, or use the panic button. None of these require waiting for us.
Reports go to a review queue that a member of the Sahiri team reads. We are a small team and do not promise a fixed turnaround or 24/7 review; we will tell you what we did when we can.
If you need help now
Crisis support
If you are in immediate danger, call 911. If you are thinking about harming yourself or need immediate emotional support in the U.S., call or text 988, or text HOME to 741741.
Outside the U.S., contact your local emergency services or a local crisis line. Sahiri does not monitor accounts in real time and cannot respond to emergencies.
