Who built Sahiri?

Sahiri Amali is founder-led and early. It exists to make structured self-reflection, communication, and growth tools more accessible to people who need support outside of, or between, traditional therapy. Sahiri itself is not therapy and does not provide clinical care. Read why we built this at /about.

Is my data safe?

Accepted Answer

Your data is encrypted in transit and never sold. You choose how long we keep it: set auto-purge to 7, 30, or 90 days. You can export or delete everything from your Profile at any time. Details at joinsahiri.com/security.

Does the AI read my messages?

Accepted Answer

AI moderation checks messages posted in community rooms and Safe Connect for hate, threats, and harassment so the rooms stay safe. It does not read your journal, mood entries, or reflections. Your conversations with Sahi are used only to reply to you; the AI providers we use do not train on them.

Is Sahiri HIPAA compliant?

No, and we do not claim to be. Sahiri is not a healthcare provider and is not a HIPAA covered entity. What we do: encrypt data in transit, never sell it or share it for advertising, let you set auto-purge, and let you export or delete everything yourself. Licensed practitioners you meet through Sahiri work under their own license and their own legal obligations.

Are there really people here?

Yes, and we are early. 5 community rooms are open to free members, and some are quiet on some days. What you will not find is a bot farm or anonymous trolls: everyone here accepted the same 8 values before entering.

What happens if I want to cancel?

Accepted Answer

Cancel any time from Subscription > Manage. You keep paid features until the end of the period you already paid for. If a paid plan is not right for you, request a refund within 30 days of your first payment from the same Cancel screen and we will refund it in full. You can tell us why, but you do not have to.

Is Sahiri a replacement for therapy?

No. Sahiri provides self-guided tools for reflection, communication, and growth, plus a values-gated community. It is not therapy, crisis care, or a diagnostic service. The assessments are research-backed screeners, not diagnoses. If you want a therapist, you can find licensed practitioners through Sahiri. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 in the US or contact your local emergency services.

Can I join anonymously?

Yes. Turn on Anonymous mode and you appear everywhere under a randomly generated alias. You need an email address to create the account; no legal name, phone number, or credit card is required.

Is Sahiri Amali free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The free path includes Sahi everyday chat, one scheduled reflection session each week, name exploration and two reviewed self-discovery tools — free forever, no card, no trial expiry. Memberships are monthly only: Individual $15, Couple $30 total, Family $50 total. Dating is a separate path for adults 18+ in Harris, Fort Bend and Montgomery counties, Texas (free invited pilot; later $20 per person).
